Museo Massó
Located in a building that was part of the Massó factory, an old canning industry. The museum came about due to the collections made by the Massó family, which culminated with the opening of a private marine museum in 1932. The museum was reopened in July 2002, presenting a collection of ethnographic and anthropologic content, with the sea and its activities as the subject of its collections: From objects from the canning factory to others linked to ancestral trades, such as traditional boat building, fish salting. It also contains a very valuable book collection of exceptional quality, from which we can highlight the incunabula section. The collection is completed with a small series of nautical instruments, models of historic and traditional boats and a good number of etchings of marine scenes.
Material etnográfico relacionado coa pesca artesanal galega, coa industria (salga, conservas de peixe e caza da balea) e coa navegación (diverso instrumental, maquetas de distintos tipos de embarcacións, material utilizado na carpintería de ribeira etc.).
