The Spanish association of canned fish and seafood manufacturers (ANFACO) created the museum on the occasion of the association anniversary in 2004. The main objective of this centre is to raise awareness on the processed sea food sector and to showcase the most important milestones of the birth of Galician canning industry.

In the Anfaco Museum of the canning industry, you have museum material of great historical value, through whose contemplation you can make an interesting journey through the history of the canning industry from its origins, as well as the history and evolution of the business association created by pioneering canning to defend common interests that remain in force today, thus preserving the spirit on the basis of which the creation of the original Union of Cannery Manufacturers of the Ría de Vigo was managed.
